Background[]
The acrobatic group of Zurcaroh was founded in 2009 by Brazilian Peterson da Cruz Hora. With the formation of this show group, Peterson brought a new form of gymnastics to Vorarlberg – a mixture of dance, gymnastics and acrobatic elements. Every show is an unforgettable experience. The various choreographic routines fascinate the audience with their colorful costumes and amazing stage designs. Zurcaroh presents diverse cultures and facets of our Earth through expressive dance and spectacular acrobatic components, accompanied by rousing rhythms. The performance of this group is always a high point at balls, celebrations, work parties or other events, triggering mass excitement and leaving behind a lasting impression. For a few moments, the audience is carried away into a magical world. [1]
Zurcaroh previously made it to the Finals in France’s Got Talent, after receiving a Golden Buzzer in their audition.
Preliminary[]
Zurcaroh's preliminary performance in Episode BC02 consisted of performing acrobatic feats such as twirling two young girls across all of the members while some were motioning their arms in a directed pattern. Then, they twirled one of the members around like a jump rope as one of the other performers jumped over her, and ending off the performance by swinging young girls onto towers of the members catching them as they threw her across the stage. Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave the group standing ovations. Zurcaroh's performance was strong enough for the judges to send them to Judge Cuts instead of Viktor Kee.
Judge Cuts[]
Zurcaroh's Judge Cuts performance in Episode BC010 consisted of performing another tribal acrobatic routine set to Christopher Tin's "Baba Yetu". Mike, Saf, guest judge Mikey, Pennies and Fresh all gave the group standing ovations. Their performance was strong enough for the judges to send them to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals[]
Zurcaroh's Quarterfinal performance in Episode BC011 consisted of performing a routine inspired by the story of the Garden of Eden. Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave them standing ovations, applauding them for their expert storytelling. Zurcaroh received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals instead of David Garibaldi and His CMYK's.
Semifinals[]
Zurcaroh's Semifinal performance in Episode BC016 consisted of performing an acrobatic dance routine based on a theme of ancient civilizations, set to Karl Jenkins' "Adiemus". Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave them standing ovations, calling them the best of their kind. Zurcaroh received enough votes to advance to the Finals instead of Kristy Sellars and Kenichi Ebina.
Finals[]
Zurcaroh's Finals performance in Episode BC017 consisted of performing a routine telling the story of peace and friendship between two cultures set to "Baba Yetu" by Christopher Tin. Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave them standing ovations once again.
Finale[]
For the Finale on Episode BC018, Zurcaroh collaborated with fellow AGT counterparts, Brian King Joseph, Duo Transcend and Lindsey Stirling. Brian and Lindsey performed a duet of "Roundtable Rival" while Duo Transcend and Zurcaroh performed some acrobatics.
Top 10's Journey[]
Zurcaroh are the runner ups of JayGT: Season 13, but lost to Semifinalist Mochi. They have been praised for their amazing storytelling and out-of-this-world acrobatics. This season, they have been widely compared to fellow finalist V.Unbeatable, but will they be able to prove that they deserve to win this whole thing despite that? |
Zurcaroh finished the competition in 3rd Place, ahead of Haley Reinhart, Mat Franco, Brian Justin Crum, V.Unbeatable, 2CELLOS, Kseniya Simonova and Darci Lynne, but behind Sohyang and Dimash.
