Kim So-hyang, credited as Sohyang, is a South Korean singer known for her controlled, skillful, and developed voice who has been dubbed by the international media as the "Korean Mariah Carey". According to Sohyang, her goal is to use her voice to comfort people who are going through difficult times. Sohyang is also an author of fiction, who has published multiple fantasy novels since 2013, the most well-known of them being Crystal Castle and Anaxion.
Sohyang's vocal type is a Full Lyric Soprano. Her showcased vocal range spans from D3 to A6 (consistent supported range from G♯3 to E6), a total of three octaves, three notes and a semitone. Sohyang's preliminary performance in Episode BC02 consisted of singing Indianna Dawn's "I Always Miss You". Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave her standing ovations. Moved by her performance, Pennies hit the Golden Buzzer, sending Sohyang straight to the Quarterfinals.

Sohyang's Quarterfinal performance in Episode BC014 consisted of singing "Everyone." Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave her standing ovations, praising her for the song choice and amazing vocals. Sohyang received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals instead of Viktor Kee.

Sohyang's Semifinal performance in Episode BC016 consisted of singing Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing". Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave her standing ovations again, admiring her for passion and commitment into all of her performances. Sohyang received enough votes to be sent to the Finals instead of Deadly Games.

Sohyang's Finals performance in Episode BC017 consisted of singing her original song, "Arirang Alone". Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave her standing ovations once again, applauding her for everything that she has accomplished in the competition.

Finale[]
For the Finale on Episode BC018, Sohyang collaborated with fellow competitor and singer Dimash. They both sang Eric Carmen's "All By Myself".
Top 10's Journey[]
| Sohyang's journey started on JayGT: Eleventh Hour. Although not getting a Golden Buzzer, she emerged as a HUGE threat with her powerhouse vocals and gorgeous technique. In the Finals, Sohyang lost to semifinalist Kristy Sellars by ONE POINT. On Battle Of The Champions, Sohyang earned Pennies' Golden Buzzer in the preliminaries and has been thriving ever since. Will she loose again under tight circumstances, or will she finally be able to rise on top? |
Sohyang finished the competition in 2nd Place, ahead of Haley Reinhart, Mat Franco, Brian Justin Crum, V.Unbeatable, 2CELLOS, Kseniya Simonova, Darci Lynne and Zurcaroh, but behind Dimash.
