Background[]
Like many great soul singers, Queen Emily David got her start singing as a little girl in Church. As she grew up, life got in the way of her dreams. Raising her daughters as a single mother meant Emily's musical aspirations had to be put on hold. When she turned 40, Emily experienced an epiphany and realized that it was time to stop dreaming and start acting, which led her to the "America's Got Talent" auditions. [1]
Preliminary[]
Queen Emily's preliminary performance in Episode BC05 consisted of singing Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools". Saf gave her a standing ovation. Her performance was not strong enough for the judges to send her to Judge Cuts, eliminating her from the competition instead of Haley Reinhart.
