Max Boyle was a contestant on Season 17 of The Voice.
According to his NBC profile, Max grew up in Toledo, Ohio. The 24-year-old earned a degree at Dayton College before moving back home to continue pursuing his music career.
Apparently, a talent for singing runs in Max's blood. He reportedly "grew up in a musical family" and "loved singing in the spotlight" as a child. As Max got older, he began to focus more on sports and hid his artistic side—until he was benched after breaking his arm during his freshman year of high school. The setback turned into an opportunity for him to rediscover his love of music and he posted a video of himself singing on Facebook. His coach saw it and urged Max to join the school choir, and he quickly became the lead soloist.
In May 2019, Max released his first EP titled Something to Hold. The short collection of four sounds that show off his impressive vocals is available to stream on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon. [1]

Max Boyle's Judge Cuts performance in Episode OUT02 consisted of singing Ed Sheeran's "Wayfaring Stranger." Mikey, Luke, guest judge Saf, Pennies and Fuz all gave him standing ovations. His performance was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals instead of Avery Wilson.

Max Boyle's Quarterfinals performance in Episode OUT08 consisted of singing Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's "Falling Slowly." Mikey, Luke, Pennies and Fuz all gave him standing ovations. He received enough votes to advance to the Semifinals along with Uché.
Semifinals[]
Max Boyle's Semifinals performance in Episode OUT09 consisted of singing Billie Eilish's "When The Party's Over." Mikey, Luke and Saf gave him standing ovations. He did not receive enough votes to advance to the Final, eliminating him from the competition along with Dalton Harris and SandyRedd.
