Background[]
Bir Khalsa is a group of more than 500 members, but they have 20 official members who are the group's best performers in Sikh martial arts. These performers have all been trained by the group's founder, Kawaljit Singh. Since he was five years old, Kawaljit Singh has had a zest for playing gatka (a Sikh martial art), and in 2000 he founded Bir Khalsa. He struggled financially over the years, and at times he had to demonstrate his skills on the roadside in exchange for food. But despite these years of struggle, he finally got his debut on India's Got Talent in 2009. Kawaljit Singh and his group of 15 members performed unbelievable stunts in the show and made it to the finals and became the first runner-up. Bir Khalsa became famous and is dedicated to millions of youth in their country, spreading important messages to young people about drug abuse and more. The group's dedication and hard work has paid off, and they have performed on Sony TV, Zee TV, Colors TV, StarPlus, ETV Telugu, BBC, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan and more. Preliminary[]
Bir Khalsa's Preliminary performance in Episode BC02 consisted of one member smashing coconuts and melons surrounding another member while he was blindfolded and had salt in his eyes. Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave them standing ovations. Their performance was strong enough for the judges to send them to the Judge Cuts instead of Bhangra Empire.

Quarterfinals[]
Bir Khalsa's Quarterfinals performance in Episode BC014 consisted of slashing a cucumber in a member's mouth with a chainsaw, smashing an ice block while blindfolded, and smashing watermelons. Mike, Saf, Pennies and Fresh all gave them standing ovations. They finished in either 6th or 7th in the votes. In the Judges' Choice, although Mike and Fresh voted for them, Saf and Pennies did not, resulting in a tie: whichever act had received more of America's votes would progress to the Semifinals. It was then revealed Paul Zerdin had placed higher in the voting than Bir Khalsa, eliminating them from the competition.
